Can the Badgers continue the good vibes this month in hosting some key in-state targets?

The University of Wisconsin football program has turned back its attention to high school recruiting after a busy start to the month in the transfer portal.

Wisconsin just received a commitment from safety Dustin Roach (Waukesha Catholic Memorial) on Friday, making it three players who have verbally pledged to the Badgers’ 2027 class. Coach Luke Fickell and his staff are anticipating hosting around a dozen recruits in Madison on Saturday during its first junior day event of the offseason.

Schools organize these junior days, which are unofficial visits taken by high school players with their families and/or confidants that allow them to dive deeper into each program they’re interested in. Saturday will be the first of two junior days this month for Wisconsin, as there is another one set for Jan. 31.

Here’s who and what to know about the expected visitors.

Plenty of in-state flavor with recruits

All three commits for Wisconsin’s 2027 class — Roach, tight end Korz Loken (Iola-Scandinavia) and tackle Ethan McIntosh (Verona) — all come from within state borders.
