(Future?) Badger Observer: 2027 defensive back Dustin Roach
A look at another in-state junior that Wisconsin is targeting.

Dustin Roach didn’t just take in a field storming and an upset win by the University of Wisconsin football team two Saturdays ago.
He also came away with an offer to play for the homestate Badgers.
Roach shined on both sides of the ball for Waukesha Catholic Memorial as a junior and is seeing his recruiting journey begin to pick up. Already with announced offers from Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois in hand, he received some good news during his second trip to Wisconsin this season when the Badgers hosted then-No. 24 Washington on Nov. 8.
“Coach (Jack) Cooper kind of took me to the side and told me I had an offer from Wisconsin,” Roach said. “It was a really big deal to me. I kind of was hugging him, going crazy. I really couldn’t believe it at the time.
“And then my parents, my dad wasn’t around me at the time, but when I went to go talk to him, he was ecstatic. And then I saw my mom at home, and she was almost crying about it, so it was good. It was really fun, and then it was good to tell all my friends and stuff.”
