ELKHART, Ind. — Jordan Reid went the extra mile(s) to see one of his future University of Wisconsin football receivers.

Reid and Wisconsin played at No. 20 Michigan on Saturday, but the assistant traveled Friday to see Tayshon Bardo when Elkhart hosted Mishawaka Penn at Rice Field.

“Honestly, that just shows the true passion (Reid) has for any of his guys just coming to play for him, or any of his current guys now,” Bardo said. “He’s willing to do whatever to show us that we matter to him, and that just stands out to me.”

The (Future) Badger Observer series continues watching and evaluating Wisconsin’s 2026 commits. Bardo caught three passes that included a touchdown during Elkhart’s 34-12 loss to Mishawaka Penn, his former high school team.

Be sure to go back and read (Future) Badger Observer’s first three entries with four-star wide receiver Jayden Petit, quarterback Ryan Hopkins and linebacker Ben Wenzel and offensive lineman Ben Novak. We also anticipate watching tight end Jack Janda (Novi Detroit Catholic Central, Michigan) on Sunday.
