Get out your flash cards, University of Wisconsin football fans. It’s time to learn some new Badgers with familiar jersey numbers.
Wisconsin starts its fourth year of spring football practices under coach Luke Fickell on Thursday inside the McClain Center. The Badgers welcomed nearly 50 new players to the program, which started with the 2026 early signing period in December and finished through the very busy January transfer portal window. There were also plenty of players who departed the program either via graduation/exhausted eligibility or the transfer portal.
Badger Observer’s compiled a spreadsheet of notable players — whether new transfer signees or freshmen, or returning players — on Wisconsin’s 2026 spring roster who will don numbers that others wore last season.
