(Future?) Badger Observer: 2027 offensive lineman Cole Reiter
A breakdown of a key in-state target for the Wisconsin football program

GERMANTOWN, Wis. — A battle of Greater Metro Conference foes last week pitted some of the state’s best offensive linemen against one another.
And it’s no surprise Cole Reiter was among those on the field being recruited by the University of Wisconsin football program.
Reiter, a consensus four-star recruit, and Germantown hosted a Sussex Hamilton team Friday that boasts twin brothers Hunter and Reece Mallinger. All hold Power Four offers and are among a deep crop of 2027 in-state recruits, and Reiter worked against them on both sides of the ball during an eventual 23-21 win for Sussex Hamilton.
“They're big dudes, right?” Reiter said of the Mallinger twins. “And they're very physical kids. It's tough going against them.”
But Reiter, who Rivals currently evaluates as the No. 1 recruit in the state’s 2027 class, also stood out on the field and demonstrated why he’s received interest from the Badgers, defending national champion Ohio State and other schools.
Badger Observer continues its (Future?) Badger Observer series that covers and evaluates uncommitted players who are being recruited by Wisconsin. We’ve covered a few class of 2027 in-state recruits and will be watching more over the course of the fall.
Be sure to check out our breakdown of Verona offensive lineman Ethan McIntosh and Waukesha Catholic Memorial’s Isaac Miller from the last two weeks. Articles on both Hunter Mallinger and Reece Mallinger will be forthcoming this week as well.
