MADISON, Wis. — Kelly Sheffield didn’t know if that was the best Nebraska team he’s seen.

But his University of Wisconsin volleyball program experienced firsthand why the Huskers are currently the No. 1 team in the nation this season.

Nebraska (21-0, 11-0 Big Ten) dominated nearly every major offensive and defensive category during its three-set sweep over Wisconsin (15-4, 8-3) in front of a reported 7,229 fans at the Field House on Friday.

“It’s a really good team. It’s really balanced, and it’s deep, right?” Sheffield said. “And they hold themselves with a swagger that they don’t panic when you get a few points against them.

“I think Dani’s (Nebraska coach Dani Busboom Kelly) done a great job of keeping them relaxed. They’ve been through the wars, and you’re going to have to sustain a really high level play for two hours to give yourself a chance.”

Let’s get to some postgame thoughts.
