MADISON, Wis. — Add another win ranked a ranked foe to the University of Wisconsin volleyball team’s resume.

No. 11 Wisconsin (18-4, 10-3 Big Ten) didn’t get the sweep inside the Field House on Wednesday, but it rebounded from a rough third set to eventually defeat rival Minnesota 25-20, 25-22, 18-25, 25-16.

It’s the fifth win for the Badgers against a ranked opponent on the season (at the time they played), as the Gophers ranked No. 22 in the nation in the latest AVCA poll. That can only help Wisconsin’s RPI moving forward with the regular season winding down in less than a month and the NCAA tournament coming thereafter.

Let’s get to Badger Observer’s thoughts from the match, along with the postgame availability with coach Kelly Sheffield, middle blocker Carter Booth and libero Kristen Simon.
