4 thoughts on Wisconsin volleyball's win at Marquette
A dominant sweep by the Badgers against an in-state rival. Here's what to know.
MILWAUKEE — It didn’t really look and sound like an away game for the University of Wisconsin volleyball program during its penultimate nonconference tune-up.
The majority of the reported* 10,020 fans inside Fiserv Forum on Wednesday were decked out in cardinal and white as No. 7 Wisconsin (6-1) handily swept in-state foe Marquette (5-3) 25-15, 25-14 and 25-18.
“It's always fun just to play in front of such a large amount of people,” Wisconsin outside hitter Mimi Colyer said. “It's fun when the majority of them are our own, and even then, even if they're not ours, I think they're still fans of the game. They come out and support both these Wisconsin schools.
“And I just think, it's so fun, it's so loud, it's a fun game to watch. And I think it was really competitive game for them to watch tonight.”
