Jai Jones didn’t need a full weekend in Madison to know he wanted to play for the University of Wisconsin football program.

Jones, a four-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals/On3, was one of six recruits who were uncommitted to Wisconsin heading into the first full weekend of summer official visits from May 29-31. Five of those six have since declared their verbal pledges to the Badgers, and coach Luke Fickell and his staff have seen their 2027 class grow from 13 to 23 players within the last four weeks.

“I think it was that Saturday, that Saturday later in the day,” said Jones, who plays for from Chandler High School in Arizona. “Just seeing my family and having those conversations with the staff, I think that’s when I made my decision, that I was ready to go there.”
