The first plays that instantly stood out from Zach Blum’s memory of DJ Davis shows what the University of Wisconsin football commit could bring to the Badgers’ secondary.

Davis, a consensus three-star 2027 recruit, has been utilized in multiple roles for Delaware prep powerhouse Middletown. The program enters the 2026 season as defending back-to-back state champs in Class 3A in which he’s played a significant role.

“That sophomore year, his first game playing safety for us, he went up and high-pointed the ball along the sidelines with one hand and brought it down for an interception that was pretty outstanding,” Blum said. “I think he was on SportsCenter for that one.

“And then in big situations, big games, DJ’s made a couple huge interceptions for us that have changed the course of two state championships, which people in Middletown are going to remember for a long time.”
