The University of Wisconsin football program overhauled its roster during the winter, but key returners will still play vital roles this fall.
Wisconsin signed 35 players from the transfer portal since January and have now welcomed all 13 of their 2026 scholarship recruits from the early signing period. Many of these new faces have already set themselves up for roles as contributors for preseason practices that start Thursday in Madison. But there are plenty from the 2025 roster who will dictate how the fourth season of coach Luke Fickell’s tenure fares.
