Writer/Founder’s note: A shout out and thanks to former Wisconsin fullback Matt Bernstein for this idea, as was discussed on last week’s Bleav in Badgers podcast. That show’s episode will be embedded in the article below.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin football program’s day is really just starting after practice.
Badgers players and staff have started each session around 9 a.m. and have been jogging or walking off Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium in the late morning during the first week of training camp. That doesn’t mean the team’s loafing around in the afternoon and evening.
There’s plenty more on the daily docket for Wisconsin within a typical fall camp practice day in Platteville.
“Yeah, I’m probably late to my lunch right now,” offensive line coach AJ Blazek told reporters Monday. “We'll be watching film by 12:15 (p.m.) as an offensive staff, so we got to get it a to-go lunch. We gotta shower.
“That'd be my only time in my room till about 9:15 (p.m.).”
