PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — Matt Jung had a flair for finding the ball at Division III Bethel.

The ball found him during Thursday’s practice.

Jung transferred to the University of Wisconsin football program in the winter after recording 16 interceptions, returning six for touchdowns, in the last two seasons. His ballhawking presence is warmly welcomed for a defense that tied for last in the Big Ten in that category (four).

Jung’s interception Thursday came during a skelly period.

“I was playing, we call it middle runner, and I'm just playing the middle of the field,” Jung said. “Quarterback kind of just threw it through to me, honestly.”
