A tale of 2 recent Wisconsin football fall camp practices

MADISON, Wis. — One day the defense stands tall, only for the offense to respond the following.

It’s how preseason practices can roll at times, and that’s exactly what’s happened during the last two University of Wisconsin football practices. The Badgers continued working into its second week of fall camp, and Mike Tressel’s defense made plenty of noise Sunday and Tuesday in cranking up the pressure in the backfield. Jeff Grimes’ offense then returned to the field and found success in red-zone situations Wednesday. A sophomore receiver — who’s had a solid start to fall camp to date, at the very least — exploded for big plays.
