PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin football team boasts several options in the backfield within Jeff Grimes’ offense, and it was Darrion Dupree’s turn to impress Sunday.

Dupree, one of two four-star signees for Wisconsin’s 2024 class alongside Dilin Jones, unleashed a few nice runs with assistance from the first-team offensive line during Sunday’s fall camp practice inside Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium. He caught the edge to the right sideline on one particular snap that likely would have went 25-30 yards.

His all-purpose abilities flashed last season when he emerged as the No. 2 tailback behind Tawee Walker. Dupree caught 12 passes for 119 yards in addition to his 317 yards rushing in 2024.

Sunday’s practice saw the offensive line open up holes, and Dupree quickly and decisively got downhill into the deeper levels of the defense on a couple plays.
