MADISON, Wis. — Jalen Brown recently made the decision to stay close to home to play college basketball, and he returned to the Kohl Center last week.

Brown, a consensus four-star recruit in the 2027 class from in-state Wauwatosa West, participated in the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball program’s advanced camp. That was less than two weeks after declaring his commitment to the Badgers. He didn’t need to come out and prove anything, just like five of Wisconsin’s football commits earlier this month. But there he was, on and around the court last week.

“Just to be around this atmosphere, man,” Brown said. “I’m committed, I love Wisconsin. So just being out here getting to talk to the coaches and to play on the floor.

“It’s always great to come play on the floor.”
